Riverview Food Services Shares Plans for Fall 2020
A Message from Kaye Wetli, SNS, Supervisor of Food Services
Updated: August 31, 2020 to include news of the USDA Extending Free Meal Waivers
"Grab and Go" Meals now FREE in Riverview through December 18, 2020
On Monday, August 31, 2020, the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced an extension of waivers for public school districts to offer free breakfast and lunch meals for all students through the fall of 2020.
This news is significant, as breakfast and lunch meals will now be FREE to all students, 18 years old and under, residing within the boundaries of Riverview School District, ending on December 18, 2020.
The free meals program will resemble the "Grab and Go" meals program launched in Riverview this past Spring, when the COVID-19 pandemic forced the closure of Riverview School District locations for in-person learning and attendance.
September 2020 menus are now available by clicking the link below:
- Carnation Elementary
- Cedarcrest High School
- Cherry Valley Elementary
- Duvall Highlands Mobile Home Community
- Stillwater Elementary
Each day, meals will include a complete hot breakfast and a complete lunch (either a cold entree or an entree to heat at home).
Please pre-order meals through the Engage website, the Riverview School District websitye, and/or the Skooler LMS platform. Pre-ordering meals is important, as it allows our Food Services team the opportunity to appropriately plan for the amount of meals requested each morning.
Please visit engage.rsd407.org/foodservice, click the "Request Meal" button to place pre-orders for meals beginning on September 1, 2020, coinciding with the first day of school.
In Skooler, login and open up your dashboard. Select "Grab & Go Meals" (highlighted in the image below) and complete the form. A screen image from Skooler LMS is provided below.
Please contact the Engage website via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the Engage hotline at (425) 844-4544 if you have any questions or comments regarding school meals and Food Services plans this fall.
