Moving to Digital Flyers

The Riverview School District (RSD) recognizes the important role local nonprofit and community organizations play in providing educational and cultural programs for students in non-school hours. To improve communication for parents, schools, and local organizations, RSD has adopted Peachjar, a platform that streamlines school-to-home communication by distributing valuable school and community resources directly to families as digital flyers. By enabling our district to move to paperless flyers, Peachjar helps us save thousands of trees each year.

To request flyer approval, community partners should follow the steps below. Paper flyers from outside organizations will no longer be distributed.

  1. Register your account as a Community Organization on Peachjar.com.

  2. Review Peachjar's Guide for Community Organizations for information about discount pricing, flyer creation tips, and more.

  3. Go to 'Post & Notify" in your account to submit a flyer

After you hit submit, your flyer will be automatically submitted to the district for approval. District staff will review the material and approve or deny based on the standards below. Once approved, the flyer will be emailed to parents and posted on each school's web flyerboard in Peachjar.

To post flyers free of charge, you must qualify as a non-profit, charitable, or civic organization (UBI or Tax ID number required) and the item, service, or event you are advertising is offered at no cost. Flyers that advertise a benefit that incurs a charge or fee or promotes such services or events will cost $25.00 per flyer per school to post. This revenue goes directly to Peachjar.

For more information on the process or pricing, those requests are handled exclusively through Peachjar. Please send an email to support@peachjar.com or call 858-997-2117

Flyer Disclaimer

Dissemination of the information does not reflect the district's endorsement or sponsorship of the activity. All materials distributed must contain the following statement:

"The district does not sponsor this event and the district assumes no responsibility for it."

Translation of Flyers

As the RSD community grows in diversity, we ask community partners to provide their flyers in multiple languages to ensure information is accessible for all in our community. Multiple flyers do not need be submitted in Peachjar, rather users can submit a muti-paged flyer with English and other languages for approval. For example, English can make up page one of your flyer, and Spanish can make up page two.

The district cannot approve the distribution of any materials that:

  • Are obscene, lewd, or vulgar;

  • Are libelous;

  • Contain language that is intimidating, demeaning, harassing or threatening on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin or ancestry, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, marital or veteran status, including, but not limited to, racial, sexual, or ethnic slurs;

  • Promote commercial enterprises;

  • Promote the violation of existing laws regulations or ordinances, or official school policy, rules or regulations; or

  • Proselytize or disparage religious beliefs.
