Carnation Elementary Students Make Reflections Which Last a Lifetime!

Three Riverview School District students received awards at the state level of the 2022 PTSA Reflections Art Competition. And here’s a cool detail: All three were students at Carnation Elementary!

The three students: Michael Batishchev, Alexander Colburn, and Elora Suchyta received Awards of Merit for their work and earned medals for their achievement.

The theme for this year’s competition was “I Will Change the World By…”.

We are happy to share links to their award-winning work, along with their Artist Statement, as submitted to judges for consideration.

Join us in celebrating Michael, Alexander, and Elora’s incredible work! We are all so proud of you!

Artist Statement: I took this picture because every kid should have enough food to last them thir whole life. If some kids don’t have enough to eat, they can’t study as well as other kids. I’m proud of my school for giving kids food.
