Maggie Gronberg Joins Riverview as New Executive Assistant to the Superintendent

Riverview School District is excited to announce that Maggie Gronberg, a Cedarcrest High School graduate from the Class of 2013, has returned to Riverview, hired as the district’s new Executive Assistant to the Superintendent.

Having spent her entire elementary and secondary education in Riverview, attending Eagle Rock Multi-Age, Tolt Middle School, and Cedarcrest, Gronberg was a proven leader throughout her high school years. She served as ASB vice president and as president of the Random Acts of Kindness club. Additionally, she earned recognition as a member of the Cedarcrest “Pride of the Pack,” an award voted on by Cedarcrest staff, and was one of three students to earn the 2013 Principal Leadership Award.

“Growing up in Riverview School District was a big part of my childhood and helped mold me into the person I am today,” says Gronberg. “I am thrilled to be returning in a different lens and excited to give back to this community that made such an impact in my life.”

In 2017, Gronberg graduated cum laude from Seattle University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a minor in finance from the Albers School of Business and Economics. After graduation, she worked as a trading analyst at a wealth management firm before switching gears to recruiting. Gronberg joined Amazon in December 2018 as a Recruiting Coordinator, providing support for the AWS (Amazon Web Services) Finance team. In February 2021, she became a Sourcing Recruiter, affording her the opportunity to work directly with a variety of AWS teams in seeking out prospective financial managers and analysts.

With a keen eye on the client and customer experience, Gronberg has a track record of recognizing a need for efficiency and assessing the complexities of different situations. Having served as a project manager for hiring events, she has coordinated all the vendors, attendees, travel needs, and event planning. Detail-oriented and collaborative in nature, she is also a trusted advisor, providing counsel and support to senior-level leadership.

In establishing a deep-rooted understanding of building connection through community, Gronberg brings her unique skills into a role of support for the Superintendent’s Cabinet, district administrative team, School Board of Directors, and our Riverview students, staff, and families.

“I am excited to partner with Maggie Gronberg as she takes on this role,” shares Superintendent, Dr. Susan Leach. “Her professional experiences and skills will be put to good use here and it is fun to see her come full circle from being a student at Riverview School District to now serving the community as a district-level professional.”

Please join us in welcoming Maggie Gronberg to the Riverview School District as our new Executive Assistant to the Superintendent!
