Michelle Frank Selected as New Principal of Cherry Valley Elementary

The Riverview School District is pleased to introduce Michelle Frank to our Riverview community, as the new Cherry Valley Elementary Principal. Mrs. Frank has extensive experience as a school administrator and counselor.

Earning her Masters in Counselor Education from the University of Hawaii-Manoa in 1997, Mrs. Frank earned her licensure in educational leadership from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs in 2007.

She joins Riverview after completing five years as Principal of Adelaide Elementary in Federal Way Public Schools. Under her leadership, Mrs. Frank has seen improvement in ELA and math scores, been a frequent collaborator with district administration, cultivated important community partnerships, and has served at the forefront of implementing school safety protocols which have not only led to a decline in discipline referrals at her school, but has helped meet the social/emotional needs of her student population.

“I am very excited about joining the Riverview School District!" she shares. "I look forward to being part of a collaborative school team who puts children first in all decisions. It is an honor and privilege to be chosen to serve as the next Cherry Valley Elementary School Principal."

Mrs. Frank will be taking over for current principal, Roxanne Luchini, who will be transitioning into a new role with Riverview, assisting with PBIS implementation district-wide, and providing support for other initiatives on a part-time basis.

“Michelle Frank has a proven track record of excellence in education,” says Dr. Anthony Smith, Riverview School District Superintendent. “She is a student-centered principal, known for creating an atmosphere where the entire school community thrives.”

Please join us in welcoming Michelle Frank as the new principal of Cherry Valley Elementary.
