Riverview Levy Voter Pamphlet Statement Committees

The Riverview School District will be placing two four-year replacement levies on the February 8, 2022 ballot.

Following unanimous adoption of two Resolutions by the Riverview School Board of Directors on November 9, 2021, election regulations require Riverview School District to appoint members to "Pro" and "Con" committees, who are willing to write statements for the local voters' pamphlet. As there is an organized promotional campaign committee, the Riverview Schools Committee, the district will allow that Committee to name three individuals who will serve on the "Pro" committee.

Regarding the "Con" committee, if you would like the district to consider you for appointment to this committee and write a statement in opposition to the levy propositions, please email your name, mailing address, phone number, email address, and a brief statement of interest for consideration to Stacy Cook via email at cooks@rsd407.org, no later than 4:30 p.m. on Friday, November 19, 2021. Please identify which of the following committees you would like to participate in:

  • Con Committee: Replacement of Existing Educational Programs & Operations Levy

  • Con Committee: Replacement of Existing Technology Capital Projects Levy.

The School Board will take action to official name members to each committee by the conclusion of the November 23, 2021 School Board meeting.

Additional information regarding the levy propositions will be shared on the district website by no later than Monday, November 15, 2021.
