Sabrina Warren Receives Riverview's Bridge-Builder Award

Sabrina Warren is joined by Superintendent, Dr. Anthony Smith (L) and Assistant Superintendent, Teaching and Learning, Dr. Randy Stocker (R), receiving the Bridge-Builder Award, while Meisha Robertson, Director of Business and Operations, and Stacy Cook, Executive Assistant to the Superintendent, take pictures of the recognition.

Sabrina Warren, Riverview’s Transportation Supervisor, is the 224th recipient of the Riverview School District’s Bridge-Builder Award. Bridge-Builder Awards are given to those who help further the mission and goals in Riverview.

Ms. Warren was nominated by the district's Assistant Superintendent, Teaching and Learning, Dr. Randy Stocker, and presented the award by Dr. Stocker and Riverview Superintendent, Dr. Anthony Smith, at the April 26, 2022, School Board Meeting.

The award consists of a lapel pin and poem given in memory of Donna Polacek, the district's long-time Personnel Director, who always went the extra mile to give much more than was expected to the staff and students of Riverview.

Each recipient's pin is numbered and recorded commemoratively in a record book located in the Superintendent's Office. Beginning in 1997, 224 individuals have been named Bridge-Builders by the Riverview School District.

Sabrina's nomination reads as follows:

"Sabrina is one of the most ‘can-do’ people I know. For the last two and a half years, Sabrina and her staff have left no stone unturned in ensuring that our students are able to get to and from school and to have materials and food delivered during the pandemic. Sabrina and her team have developed a 'Kindergarten Touch A Bus' program for incoming students to meet drivers, learn about bus behavior and expectations, and take a ride on a bus prior to entering kindergarten. She hosts department community building events with her team and provides interactive professional development that allows participants engagement in their learning. All of this is done with enthusiasm, support and (the) goal of improving the Transportation Department."

Congratulations to Sabrina Warren on earning this prestigious honor in our district!
