Following morning announcements to students and staff on Friday, May 13, 2022, and a notification sent to Tolt families that same morning, Riverview School District is excited to present to you the new Tolt Middle School Bears logos!

This fall, after the passage of House Bill 1356, Tolt put together a TMS Mascot Committee, including students, staff, and parents, to change the existing “Thunderbird” name, logo, and image. Tolt students ultimately voted to make the Tolt Bears the new school mascot.

Following this announcement, Spellbrand, a professional design company that specializes in school branding, was hired tocreate a unique bear mascot, a primary logo, and several secondary logos. As Tolt principal, Amie Karkainen, stated in her correspondence to families this morning: “We are thrilled with the results and excited to share them with you!”

Tolt Bears logos were revealed to students when they watched the reveal video, following morning announcements, in their first period classes. We now share that video with our entire Riverview Community!

You will begin seeing Tolt Bears logos immediately, as we will be implementing them moving forward and transitioning from previous imagery to these new designs.

Please check out the Tolt Bears Logos Reveal video and thanks to everyone who participated in this process. We could not be happier with the results!
