Updates from Riverview School District - September 9, 2021

Dear Riverview Community:


The purpose of this communication is to provide updates on new masking orders issued by Public Health – Seattle King County (PHSKC), share information on how to see Cedarcrest Red Wolves home athletic competitions from your own home (for FREE!), and share images of the first day of school and raise awareness of potential job opportunities in Riverview School District.

 

OUTDOOR MASKING ORDER ISSUED IN KING COUNTY

Effective Tuesday, September 7, new masking orders signed by Public Health – Seattle King County (PHSKC) requires that everyone ages 5 and older, regardless of vaccination status, wear masks in indoor public settings and at outdoor events with 500 or more people in attendance.


This order applies to Riverview School District and Friday night, home football games at Cedarcrest High School, beginning with the Friday, September 10 game vs. Burlington-Edison. In addition, masks will be required at all indoor athletic events and competitions.


This may also apply to other outdoor athletic events happening in the Cedarcrest Stadium, should attendance reach 500 or more individuals.

RED WOLVES HOME ATHLETIC EVENTS | STREAMING FREE THIS YEAR!

Cedarcrest High School and Riverview School District are happy to announce that Red Wolves home athletic events can be viewed for FREE through the NFHS Network for the 2021-2022 school year. Cedarcrest and Riverview have waived the subscription costs for the upcoming school year and subscribers can view Red Wolves athletic events at home for no cost.


The NFHS Network application is available for download on smartphones, tablets, computers, and connected television devices, including Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, and Google TV.

  • Varsity Football, September 10 vs. Burlington-Edison

  • JV Girls Soccer, September 11 vs. Shorewood

  • Varsity Girls Soccer, September 11 vs. Shorewood

  • JV Football, September 13 vs. Marysville-Getchell

  • Varsity Volleyball, September 14 vs. Stanwood

  • School Nurse – 4.00 hours per day and works Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.

  • Maintenance Grounds I (Long-term substitute) – 8.00 hours per day. Full-time.

  • School Bus Drivers – 8.00 hours per day. Full-time, trained by Riverview Transportation staff.

  • Paraeducators – District-wide opportunities. Hours and schedules may vary.
