In January 2022, Riverview Superintendent, Dr. Anthony L. Smith, announced his retirement at the conclusion of the 2021-2022 school year. Dr. Smith has served for 39 years in public education, 28 of those in the Riverview School District, and 9 years in his current role as Superintendent. After accepting his resignation, the School Board of Directors has initiated the process to hire our next Superintendent.
At the January 25, 2022 School Board meeting, the School Board selected the search firm Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates (HYA) to lead the hiring process.
SUPERINTENDENT SEARCH VIRTUAL COMMUNITY OPEN HOUSE EVENTS
HYA and the Riverview School District School Board of Directors have developed a swift timeline to complete the process in finding our next Riverview School District Superintendent. In addition to hosting listening sessions with specific focus groups, Virtual Community Open House Events will be hosted by HYA through Zoom. Dates, times, and Zoom links are provided below. The Virtual Events will run approximately one hour.
